In adverse hours…
When we seek relief from day-to-day strain
tokens of…mercy and grace, which reign
will lift our burdened thoughts
enabling us to sit…in quiet pews.
For, if allowed, though vex may try…to belabor
a marvelous light…yet favors
and as we remember…a promise…
a ‘peace’ beyond understanding will fill our view.
Whereby…upon the horizon’s line
not at all late, but right on time…
there, just off stage…behind the curtain
stands our ‘forever home’, awaiting cue.
Thus, as ‘trust’ does its ardent work…
rebuking chords of doubt that lurk
more faith descends…spreading its layer
and we are drenched in its dew.
How good is the contentment we’ll feel
not at all imagined, but indeed so real…
recalling, ‘…He is with us always…’
and has ‘…already overcome the hew…’.
Invariably, our ‘solid rock defense’…against whatever rages?
our ‘beloved keeper’ who maps life’s stages…?
albeit, Our Hope…in hours of adversity…?
Jesus…through and through!

Last night, in a dream, former president Obama spoke to me of the many reasons why he detested the current president. Stating actions that he knew would happen long before the man was picked by the far right to take the country back into Jim Crow territory for all the "losers" unfit to share in the American dream.
Why, even though he had to go to his close friend, Jimmy Carter's funeral, could barely stand it when the despicable man was there making a show of his presence.

It's one of those poetry writings, you want to read it on a recorder, then play it back with your eyes closed. It is then that you see the meaning of your words more than ever!
Smiling within,

Only God our Father, God the Son Jesus Christ, and God the Holy Spirit can help us, our country, and the world.
