There are many…portals…to God. Prayer…is one of them. Pressing-on, amen.

Poem Artwork

Through His Portal…

I step…

into a place where surrounding walls…

emit… calming love.

So relieved …

how utterly grateful am I…

that in midst of another day’s progress

angels attend and bear me up.

Protected…

from the accost of so many things

I marvel at…Jehovah, how…

always, always…

time…and time again

I find refuge when I enter…

His Portal.

Psalm 91:11 & 15

Young Joyce, re.joyce such a beaut of a devotional poem that expresses refuge and gratitude with your deep, quiet, intimate faith.

Your poem carries a beautiful stillness, a sense of stepping into a sacred hush. The way you describe the ‘portal’ as a place of refuge and renewal feels deeply comforting. The repetition of ‘always, always… time and time again’ echoes the constancy of divine presence in a very moving way. Thank you for offering a piece that feels like a quiet prayer in itself. Just lovely.

The world is generally is safe. When we remove the fear of the possible danger, it suddenly seems to become a lot safer.

It's all a matter of perception.

My son wrote a book of his personal, one liner quotes. Never underestimate the power of simple statements! A very interesting read!
