Poem Artwork

 Roots

Pen to the paper, a simple relief

Ink spills out an uncertain belief.

Penned beyond tomorrow’s mask

Reaching for an answers past.

Wanting the bigger show

Sometimes yes and sometimes no.

Years go by reaching for the truth

Memories dig deep into the roots.

Your poem is an archaeological treat. Short, but sweet.

Nice poem you've written here. Thank you for sharing. Certainly leaves a reading thinking. I found a typo in the line "Ink spill’s out an uncertain belief." In this line the apostrophe should be taken out.

This book represents a thirty-day period of my poetry journal. Each poem addresses the dominant thoughts occupying my mind during the early morning hours of a given day.
