the leaves on the trees are turning
they're suppose to do just that
colors from green, yellow to amber and
sometimes even red fall in fall and call on
the long awaited rake
another season has now passed and there's no distance between the rake and the shovel, but seemingly a lot of bull when it's time to labor in the yard...do we wait and pray for the neighborhood kid whose been a no show for the past 2 years or do we just do the work
time is winding down and still no kid....it's true ... these are 21st century kids..they don't knock door to door...they hire the previous generation and squeeze the top money off
twenty, thirty dollars, who are you fooling...if you need to take a bill out like that then we'll hope and pray it's a real bill ....so please don't forget the check, the stamp and the mailman so he can take the bill out the box so it will be paid on time
This collection of poetry addresses the nature of time, reflections on the natural world, the difficulty of loss,
contemporary social issues and gratitude for life.
Mary Angela Nangini's poems celebrate the richness of life and love. From the city to cottage-country and the roads in between, Nangini explores the changing seasons of her varied region. (This book will soon be reprinted in hard cover.)
