Be proud of this historical moment
It's been a long time in the making
from the 1st ever African American vote
to 2008's last election vote

We've had a lot of here and there going on in America
and although our history will never go away, there is no time to feel sorry or pout when we're looking at some great changes

We can't change what has past, but as America n's we can
move toward the future rebuilding it for a future our children can count on

We can conquer space and division with
unity that speaks change and from change
we can change No and speak hello with Yes We Can

Our next 44th President means he is African American

He is an American
He is someone's Son
Someone's Grandson
He is a Man
A woman's Husband
A child's Father
A man desiring to create change

He and his  Administration are not Perfect, but
Neither are we!

Do you believe and proclaim the voice that uplifted you
will be returned to him in the same way so we can  work for the next four years and the years after that

We can't get there with just words alone
and no one man should have to enter into
change without the voices that came, listened,
and worked hard to speak yes we can

America we are facing some challenges, more crying but the end result  is that we will come together as a people so we  can strike it rich with unity to get this job done
 
We are an old nation failing and in turmoil, our economy is crying and our people are crying too

We are a young nation needing to rise, so please stop the war
it not helping here or over there.
 
We are a better America hoping to rebuild,
trying to weather the storm and the many storms later,
still trying to rebuild what the storm has torn down,
hey Katrina we still feel your pain!

This is America, the land of the free let's remember
we can't keep division out if we can't keep peace in

Teach our children to become leaders,
to bring about change, we'll never conquer
greed, hatred and liar's but we can work trying
 
The word exclude is sometimes another word for No and the word include is another word for Yes We Can

Our next 44th President means he is a man that
will work for every man, woman and child.
