I thought I heard a promise on your lips of yesterday
How could i be the one, you'd love beyond today.

Could I trust my feelings and take that final leap
Or would my fear of losing you make the mt. look too steep

I take the chance and proclaim my love is here for only you
And without a word to be spoken, your eyes tell me we're through.

You tell me that another has come into your heart
and so the circle continues and you are back at start.

I wonder why I didn't hear your heading for the door
I guess I just trusted you like all those times before.
