I tried to respond Sir Leonardo’s poem “Wild Horses” written in 2007 where he is asking “Could I ride you like an untamed horse… ?” This was more fun than I imagined… I generalized Cancer woman’s character traits in this poem too along with the character of Horse in Chinese Horoscope. I hope I am right.
First time when I saw the light of the day The Sun was on Cancer, The sky was beautified by the Cardinal sign And the qualities given to the Cancerian woman Was blessed and divine: Affectionate, romantic and feminine, Home loving, nurturing and full of sunshine, Under her shy, lustrous hard shell You will find a kind and patient listener, Sweet, sentimental, loyal to her lover, Imaginative, sensitive and emotional, Psychic, intuitive…forces can't deny, Being a water sign and the child of Dark Moon Loves shimmering colors of aquamarine And the silver light dripping from the Moon. Love is an irrevocable part of her life Awakening her sensuality and making her thrive. Fortunately for you, in the Chinese horoscope I was born under the sign of an unbridled Horse, Independent, enthusiastic, extroverted, With boundless energy force. It’s not easy to ride my horse Unless you know how to satisfy her thirst For soaring high and being free, How to satisfy her passion of spontaneity, If you can whisper like an ocean wave into her ears And gently run your fingers through her silky mane Caressing her smooth, fair and satin skin, And if she response with shivering sensation To your warm breath and fingers touch Walking through her curves and valleys, You can ride her openly in the field of wild lilies And consider her tamed…and pleased… By Ankin Timourian Copyright © 2009
