Every second like a butterfly,
Flies before your very eye,
Hides among the flowers, takes a moment to admire…
Disappears in the midst of time; by creating a link in a memory chain
One-by-one our seconds die, lost or lived, our seconds fly
And by joining the flock of minutes,
Merging into the hour…
Soaring high in the limitless sky,
They are trying to deny
Their existence
And by creating the invisible ties
Between past and future,
Leaving tiny traces of wrinkles around the eyes
And sorrow on the face of present time, they are rushing by...
Leaving millions of questions behind,
They wipe out our tears and by creating memories,
Eventually they create our present and past,
The seconds within the hour are giving us false hopes…
The truth is – we never had or have time;
Our life spans a second,
We come and go like butterflies…

We come and go like butterflies…
There is much wisdom in what you express within your verses, Ankin. Sometimes when I close my eyes, it is as though I can feel time flow past my face like a breeze. Thank you. Love and best wishes,

We come and go like butterflies…
How so very true.
The fleet feet of time, fleet and delicate as butterfly wings and flight, and the eternal wonder of how everything passes and fades.

And then, I knew it was you!

This is how to contemplate our conditioned existence in this fleeting world:"
"Like a tiny drop of dew, or a bubble floating in a stream;
Like a flash of lightning in a summer cloud,
Or a flickering lamp, an illusion, a phantom, or a dream."
"So is all conditioned existence to be seen."
Thus spoke Buddha.
