Where Did the Time Go?
Where did the time go
When I was just a child
Looking up at shooting stars
As I fondly smiled?
And watching my grandpa
Who would just for kicks,
While we were camping,
Whittle away at sticks.
And playing with my sister
Underneath the maple tree
As we closely followed
Our mud pie recipe;
And with my other grandpa
Enjoying a country stroll
To the babbling stream—
A walk that soothed the soul.
And wandering with grandma
Through a cathedral of trees
As we hunted mushrooms,
With whispers of the breeze.
Like those moments in nature,
My loved ones are gone
But in my memories,
They forever carry on.

What wonderful memories to have.
Beautifully told. The visuals are like a cinema of your heart.
