For all of you who have not heard.

My soul speaks to me of the spoken word.

Expressions on so many levels of the truth,

The way it is delivered is the proof.

Wheather or not the emotion of an experience has been embraced.

When the juices flow from ear to plate.

Even the crumbs have succulent taste,

And a hungry mind will leave no waste.

So the spoken word has pled it's case.

It asks the question, if it relates

To something, some one, or some feeling that you once touched.

It's substance now illuminated, no longer must be hushed.

The depravity of some minds and thier inequity,

Are also recognized, because expression is free.

The woes of life's travel paths and the thorns that are entwined.

The scars and wars of love and what they leave behind.

Noble causes, virtue, and visions to dream the unknown.

Inspiration that influences children long after they are grown.

For all of you who have not heard.

This is the beauty of the spoken word.

A mother brings forth life while languishing in pain.

Any day she would give her life, that they not miss a thing.

Lady love, now puts a gun to her lovely head,

Because the reason she is living is now already dead.

To explain a moment like that with paper and a pen;

To do so is a blessing, To not do so is a sin.

What an addict does to attain thier drug of choice,

Why they do what they do, might give thier misery a voice.

Or the kid who already thinks his chances are blown,

And doesn't see life as worth living until he is grown.

He might be convinced to give himself some time,

Because he's got to overcome the battle within his mind.

Now I am glad that we have shared a minute or two,

Since it's not so much about you understanding me as it is about me understanding you.
