BAUDELAIRE PLEASE COME BACK lyrics

a blizzard a blizzard a blizzard
my heart's a northern hell
my heart-beat knocks a wooden door
the barkeep knows me well

the squirrel drops its acorn
far down to the ground
winter makes an entrance
the snow muffles all sound

the trees stand guard so silent
the snow falls all around
the white becomes a fever
the day goes round and round

baudelaire please come back
don't take the train coming down the track
baudelaire you're so bad
you are the best we ever had

baudelaire is drinking
absinthe from a horn
and edgar allan poe
he waits to be reborn

every word's a bell
and every bell is rung
every music echoes
and every song is sung

sleep through history
nobody will mind
the years are like the acorns
that grow up tall and blind

baudelaire please come back
don't take the train rolling down the track
baudelaire please don't go
what can we do? I do not know
