Trapped, washed up disempowered
all of the above apply,
living in a town that is not home
where I will never, can never
be at home; only resident.
I gave my youth and my manhood
to a calling and adventure now
I watch myself die to no purpose.
None here heed my voice, honour
my experience, welcome my council.
None understand my passion
or my pain, or my loss.
Somewhere the osprey calls my name
if only i knew where...
