I believe that the pen can be mightier than the sword. Our penned words can bring hope and they can just as easily cause harm. There is a fine line, but not so fine that we must be afraid of expressing the desires of our hearts and the needs of our intellect.
This world we all share is a wonderful place filled with so much hope, so much chance. Yet we see not the beauty of life but focus on all those things that seem wrong.
We focus on our perception of the world and struggle to try and figure out why everyone doesn’t see the world the way we do. We are all different, different eyes shedding different tears, of joy and sorrow. Nevertheless, through it all, deep down inside, we are all the same, our hearts beat the same and our desire to keep our children safe are molded in the fabric of humanity.
So we share our ideas on printed page and at the end of the day we pray the storm clouds of human indifference away. The whispering strained child voice never again to ask will ever stop raining father, begging for a new day.
The pen is mightier than the sword but without hope, all our papers will turn to gray and as in the beginning, humankind will again wait to be cast from clay.
