Turquoise blue oceans
Are like the deep reccesses of our souls
Full of life
Protected from depths of the unknown
Far away from the darkwaters
Where the sharks and other predators dwell
The soft sands and corals
Gently host the colored dwellers
Where the large cannot enter
A place revelled by us all
A place of gentler warm waters
That reflects the high sky above
Yet in the waters lurks dangers
For sailors and swimmers alike
The coral, stonefish and the lionfish
Reminders of life's masks to eternal peace
That even in these waters there is turbulance
Where life depends on life to survive
And in time the Earth's own forces may come to bear
The beloved blue may change to dark or black
New creatures may abound
Or maybe not
If tainted by human waste
Only memories of the stylish lionfish left
And of the turquoise blue oceans!
