I sat and I watched the swans
gliding by, and the weeping willow,
she was sighing so low,
whispering a secret to the
the waters of life whose silver reflection
swept the surface at her branch tips.
The wildlife there speaking to
one another with grace, belong
to the energy and the life of this place.
The greens and the hues of spring,
the depth of the lake;
take the deepest breath, draw in
the stillness that surrounds you,
with the occasional call of the loon...
and all too soon, the sun begins to set.
As you lift yourself off the bench
upon which you sit...sweeping eyes across
the quiet stillness of waters that
radiate magic,
you promise yourself that you
will return sooner the next time...
So that the day does not go by so
quickly, and the journey to
daydreams can linger a little
longer in the heart.
