within, learn to win the affection
of your own inner child.

to truth that lives within you.
Repeat behaviour that is
detrimental to the well-being
of one's spirit, to let love near
it is to help with the scars of yesterday,
as you learn to play again
within the garden of your heart.
To run free with wild abandon
in a meadow filled with sunshine
will e'er help to soothe and calm your fears,
until the tears of the past catch
up once again and wash over
you with the painful remembrance
of what was lost.

that lives here, ever clear within the
memory of your caring; and still despairing
we try valiantly to stand again and not fall,
to rise up against adversity, stand tall
