Where do I find joy?
In my daughter’s laugh,
Listening as she sings in the shower
At the top of her lungs
Where do I find joy?
In the beauty of the flowers that brighten our backyard,
In mowing the lawn, picking the fruit
Feeling him beside me at dawn
I find joy and peace in knowing he is there
To laugh with me, to cry with me,
Until the end of our days
To love me and to let me love him
I find happiness in little things; the sun on my face,
A cool summer rain.
Still, the greatest joy I have ever known
Fills my soul simply when he smiles at me.
I like the first stanza
Reminds me of this morning
when I was singing in the shower
I exit the bathroom to my wife dirty looks
i guess she didn't like my singing.......
Peace be with you
