The Empty Tomb

Just down the Road from

Where the old Rugged Cross stands?

And just where he gave his life

On the first day of the week

Just before dawn as the sky

changed from night into day

As the women making their way

Down the trail and over the bridge

To the tomb where there friend and master, teacher lays

As they came to the tomb

They could not believe their eyes

The stone that was at the front of the tomb

Now was rolled back away and the linen

Folded and laying nice and neat

Like some one had kept house

And their was no sign of their friend and
Master, teacher not to be found

As Mary quickly walking back to the twelve

Telling them of the news and what they Saw and found
After Mary had given them the news,

John ran on ahead and I running right behind

As John falling down on his knees.. I slowly
Walked down in to the tomb…

He has risen!... Praise The Lord... He has risen!....
