We can't correct first mans mistake
but we can give ourselves a break
Lets just put it this way
I would have probably bit the apple
also back in the day
Then got down on my knees to pray
Afterwards carried my azz out to play
If a mans a sinner then that's what
he is by nature
Mans no perfect creature
In fact screwing up is his main feature
This is why we have Jesus and
God as teacher
Then God blessed us with the preacher
to help defy the evil reacher

The first step to curing is facing up
to the mirror
realizing every man is inferior
especially when it comes to his interior
I function the best I can
no not really I'm only a man
At times I veer from the plan

Of course hell has never been my plan
I've always looked up at the sky
always trying to figure why
Why the heck am I here
it surely isn't to wallow in my fear
so I turn a deaf ear
My main goal is to love and defy
even this hasn't been the apple of my eye
cause sometimes love doesn't apply

God suppose to know all
and at times the truth inside will
come to call
You can't run
You can't hide
so you might as well try
to enjoy the ride
