A poem that sums up a friend who only needs you when they feel like it, never being a friend in return.

Entwined in arms of safety A comfort bed of trust When all around are predators In me, there is no lust But every time you leave me I never hear a word Until the time when life is down It all feels so absurd The ignorance is hurtful Feels like a pure charade Behind the eyes of innocence Lies a masquerade If friendship is a vessel Next time you?re on shore Look into the horizon This ship will be no more

We feel this sort of thing way before we see it- if we ever do.
And we can think people need us when they just seem to need something from us, and maybe countless others.
