Walked through these hallowed doors

At least a thousand times

Ran and hid over the years

Through various calling chimes,

If these solid walls had ears,

They would have stories to tell

The screams of joy and tears of pain

The heaven and the hell

Rooms echo with laughter

Now silent and so quiet,

I gaze into the window

Where I used to see a riot

The floors are all replaced now

Gone is the familiar squeak

Pipes all shining brightly,

No more showered leak

This used to be my playground

The abode where I did grow

So many people have come and gone

Yet it’s always on with the show

I long to ask if I can enter

One last time through the door,

Yet those memories stay with me

May they remain forever more
