I wrote this for my mother. She is the
gardner of 93.

Poem Artwork

A walk in the garden while the
dew is on the morning glory..
                 her hands touched each seed..
                 stems trained..trellace..blossoms

                 A walk in the garden..mother..sharing
                 memories of Mother's Day..her
                 mother's garden gate

                 The garden is lovely..bursting in
                 full bloom..rain drops..wild violets
                 flowering almond..white lilacs

A kiss for mother behind her ear..
                tickles..she smiles.. a shiver..
                I love you mother

               I Love you..kisses my cheek..
               her smile beautiful..she is happy
               in her garden..flowers she loves

              A morning glory..her touch..hands
              plantings delicate faces..pansies
              mother the garden is lovely

What a beautiful tribute to your mother and her garden. I know that you love gardens and Victorian poetry, in this poem you have blended the two together to form a beautiful bouquet. So lovely and soothing to read.

A tribute poem as lovely as a mother's garden, as warm as her love.

I'm sure her love and seasoned attention waters the blossoms still, Mary Ann - even in her absence. A garden thrives annually on the preceeding care that has hitherto been lavished on it. Through each vibrant colour and beautiful floral face the spirit of your mother still shines. A touching tribute. xx

Thank you Mary Ann, for taking us on this gentle,
emotional stroll through garden cultivated by your
Mother's hands...that touched each seed...inducing
the beauty to glow... giving us the sense of a true
happiness...promised wonders...from Mother's heart.
What a wonderful, enchanting glory of poem that enriched
our morning on the International Mother's Day.
Happy Mother's Day Dear Mary Ann.
With warm regards Isabella.

Gosh, Mary Ann, you held my hand and walked me through your mother's garden, and I was there, seeing the beauty of it and smelling the wonderful aroma of this special garden. Beautifully done.
