'When you enter the world of creative ideas, you are entering ancestral space. The well-trained writer is the one who has looked into that ancestral space and recognized the ideas that reside there.' - Ayi Kwei Armah, famous African author
To write this poem, I entered ancestral space
Each word is like honey, so I slow down the pace
Will you come down or shall we meet up in space?
The anticipation is starting to make my heart race
You’re more mysterious than the back of the moon
What if it turns out to be just a balloon?
I need you, I want you, hope to see you soon
Preferably when you’re a Bride – and I am the Groom.
You’re Miss Venus
The flower of the galaxy
Sitting in the lap of luxury
More beautiful than all the other girls.
The Butterfly Effect sent me to you
Look me in the eyes and tell me it’s true
Tell me it’s that classic connection between Venus and Mars
Towels separated into ‘his’ and ‘hers’
There’s no denying when it’s written in the stars.
