Beauty is in your eyes.
Glassy blue oceans—me wavering inside.
Your hands are friends to my thigh
and sisters to the nape of my neck.
Your skin, pilgrim white—
you with your muttdom identical to mine.
We live neither in convention,
nor normalcy.
We travel on elevated planes,
shape shifting our views till we
discover the right.
God is my champion,
the breath,
And your touch is “the life.”
Tell me what is right.
I want to live
boundless, uncoiled.
I want to live
free from toil.
Will you love me as you pretend?
The telephone’s ring is silent
and the pool in my pillow
is out of season.
My brain is leaking
when we are apart.
Hungry and thirsty, my tongue
as I imagine your kiss.
We become one.
Tell me the truth, tell me no lies.
Because I like drowning in
glassy blue oceans
sometimes found in your eyes.
this is a great piece of romatic writing...but without all the gooey cliche that this type of work sometimes evokes in people ..i really enjoyed this thank you...eliza keating
