As I sit in silence my mind wanders through memories my heart suddenly in defence Why do we always remember the good when things are bad? Why do we always remember the bad when things are good? I feel a tear build up in the corner of my eye running down my cheek, softly stroking my lips I place my hand over my heart My eyes look up to the Heavens "Jesus, why am I so confused?" "Jesus, why am I so alone?" "Jesus, why am I hurting?" "Jesus, why do I cry?" "Jesus... can you hear me?" I fall asleep with teary eyes and wake to a graceful embrace... "My child, I will show you the way" "I will never leave you" "Leave your troubles at my feet" "I will comfort you" "When love took over, I died on the cross for YOU. Now live for me. Excellent build up. Sitting in quietude sure does test us, especially if we're feel downcast. Love at the highest level is this poem! 5 questions asked. His love is enough to answer them all. X
