As I sit in silence
my mind wanders through memories
my heart suddenly in defence

I feel a tear build up in the corner of my eye
running down my cheek, softly stroking my lips
I place my hand over my heart
My eyes look up to the Heavens

"Jesus, why do I cry?"
"Jesus... can you hear me?"
I fall asleep with teary eyes
and wake to a graceful embrace...
"My child, I will show you the way"
"I will never leave you"
"Leave your troubles at my feet"
"I will comfort you"
"When love took over, I died on the cross
for YOU. Now live for me.
"I can always hear you..."
