My Facebook friends have given me 19 topics to write 19 poems and I am trying to do it in 19 days. So far, so good. This is #6 of 19.

#6 of 19 - Topic Suggested By Cheri Goosen

Poem Form (Sonnet) Inspired By William Shakespeare

I've heard people say that they don't like

The feeling of sand stuck to their skin

I can't relate to that for a minute of time

Without it I wouldn't know where I begin

You see it started a long time ago

When as a child in Miami I did spy

It didn't take me long to know

The ocean scene touched me deep inside

The rising of the golden sun

The constant of the changing tide

The dolphins gliding as if they were one

Magnified the feeling of being alive

So give me sand between my toes

And no obnoxious tourists while I sit here in repose

Ha! Now see, all of my neighbor friends who live in Florida loved that line. Guess it depends on how many times you've sat on the beach at Flagler and observed completely obnoxious behavior from the tourists...lol. Thank you.

Eh . . . Kinda spoiled your poem with that last line. Just my take on it, I'm sure others won't think that way. Until that last line was a very personal and delightful merging of words and phrasing.

Omega Factor by John Henning

Next Arrivals by Robin Ouzman Hislop

Robin Ouzman Hislop's poetry is certainly in dialogue with some of the key architects of the 'poetics of indeterminacy' – both the Modernist strands represented by the likes of Beckett and Stein, and the postmodernist strands represented, initially,
