#11 of 19 - Topic Suggested By Terry Crumpley

I've been waiting and hoping you'd come

Is that you? I'm pretty sure it is

I see you walking up there in the fog

Would I look silly if I start to run?

All the things that I read into

That kiss that killed me

The arms that held me

The spirit that filled me when I looked at you

Seem so clear now up ahead

But the soft sand is bogging me down

I think the fog is getting thicker

Am I really seeing you or is it all in my head?

This is where we sat and talked for hours

This is crazy! I think I'm seeing ghosts

Or maybe it's the memories are so real

Your voice, the full moon on the water

My God! Your lips! I'll never forget

I could have loved you all my life

I can't see very far now, it's closing in

The fog, the tears, emotions, regret

Whatever it was clouding my view

Is like this coastal fog

Makes me think I see things that aren't there

Makes me believe things that aren't true

It can be dangerous, able to skew

Clear vision, the obvious in plain sight

I don't think you meant it the way I took it

It was just a ghost, not really you

Thank you. And yet still I'm writing about one particular situation. How much oil can a person wring out of one experience! It's the gift that keeps on giving...lol.

The fog of love is clearly in this memory not so clearly defined in the mists of time and distance. But your hope is clear to me.

Wow! What might you write if you took your time? This is sensational!
