There's a down side to Edgar Allan Poe being one of your favorite writers...sometimes things get over exaggerated, uninhibited, dark and creepy and I love it!
You think you know me. You don't. You think you have it all figured out. You don't. The way that you think it is, is not the way that it really is. The way that you think I am is not the way that I am. The way that you think that I think about it has nothing to do with the truth. Continue living in your delusional palace where the hallways are made of mirrors that reflect ghosts who jump out throwing you off balance before you can complete a steady walking pattern making it impossible for you to get to here from there. Keep it up. You will find out. You are so wrong about so many things. I'm too exhausted to try to get you to see it. What would be the point? There is no point. All I wanted was laughter. All I needed was what you already gave. Be still in your own little world tin man, be still. No blood runs through your veins and yet you still bleed. Your open wounds run over spilling onto the future. The blood hardens and prevents sunlight from getting through to the skin so there is no warmth on the outside; it is white and clammy and cold just like on the inside of your passionless heart. Enjoy it, this is your life.
I am no expert, but free form poetry means the author is free to put it into any form. The message is relatively short, it allows for some interpretation, and it evokes emotion. That's poetry to me.
No, I think Jerry's right. I probably shouldn't have listed this under poetry. Didn't really think about it too much. Yes Ron, a return to a theme just like a sucker! lol. If he just wasn't so damn good looking! No hurt, just frustration that I let myself exaggerate for the sake of writing and until it's wrung out, I will keep tapping into it like a maple syrup tree. It's just about there seeing as how he wants nothing to do with me. Ah! Fool! wink, wink
Forget what Jerry said. I think he's talking about formatting. He writes prose just like you have here, only formatting it, line by line differently than you just have.
What struck me was you returning to a theme from earlier poetry of yours, striking back at someone who seems to have hurt you a great deal, but you can't break free from. Your dark side?
Sorry, Sherry, I love you and I love your poetry, but I just do not get off on prose. Eh . . . That's just me. This would have been so very good if you had made a poem out of it.
This book represents a thirty-day period of my poetry journal. Each poem addresses
the dominant thoughts occupying my mind during the early morning hours of a given
day.
