Walls can protect

If strong South winds were blowing

You'd be safe on the North side

Walls built together

Create a structure known as home

Walls stay together but people might divide

Walls can be brick

Tall enough to block the sun

Or be a place where you can hide

Walls can be strong

Enough to lean against to rest

Is there an end to what walls can provide?

Walls can prevent

Exit and entry of good and evil

Forcing you to acknowledge your foolish pride

Walls can be emotional

In that case you might be left

To analyze a situation and decide

Walls are mostly good

But there are times when they are not

They can keep you holding onto things you should lay aside
