Strange Silent Sounds

When you are alone, you hear strange silent sounds

Telling you where to go, and what to do, majorly profound

They might come from the attic, basement, or just somewhere around

Maybe outside in the distance close on the streets, or in the fields beyond

Did I screw up in the past, or hurt someone out there badly to deserve this much pain

Why do the shocking sounds always occur when it’s just about to rain?

I feel no guilt, or shame because I do not know what I did to deserve this stain

I wish I knew who, or what was behind this madness so I would have someone, or something to blame

Maybe one day the truth will be revealed, and the whole picture finally seen like a painting within a frame

Until then, I can only hope one day to hear peace in my mind as my own personal aim and gain,

And continue to question the true mysteries of the strange silent sounds of life’s mind testing game.
