carry me off to dreamland
in a moonboat across the sky
sprinkle some stardust around my bed
and away through the clouds I shall fly

my angel will hold me closely
and sing me a lullaby sweet
and all through the night my teddy and I
will safely journey through sleep

the stars as bright candles gleaming
shall guide my way through the night
and take me to dreamland and back again
in time for the first morning's light

The title of the picture is moonboat to dreamland by Hugh Williams.

Inspired by the coming birth of my first grandchild in april, I purchased this print and wrote the poem moonboat to dreamland to give to my daughter for christmas.
