To an old teacher who recently passed.

What is there to write about death?

The absence of life cannot stir the shelter of emotion.

She lost out in the tragic game of life in her forties.

She quietly passed upon a lunch like no other.

Students swarming the news of drama.

Unable to seek fulfilling and comforting answers.

Such a surprise leaving marks of imprint left behind.

Each of us touched… marred by this black hand of death.

Darkness of nature settles around us once more.

We scour the distance for light,

but this hope does not arrive in time for a ceremonial Goodbye.

The Wisdom of W. E. B. Du Bois (Philosophical Library Series) by Aberjhani

In his many novels, poetry, histories, editorials, plays, and letters, W. E. B. Du Bois poured so much of his blindingly incandescent soul into his writings that no single volume could ever contain all of his words or works. In fact, had not the his
