The light refuses to falter or fade
As a time of mourning
Turns to the gift of remembrance
Cherished memories beg renewal
As this unexpected path should not signal the end
But instead lead us onto new beginnings
Memories of the heart
Flourish and flutter
Drifting and leading us
To forgotten insights and instances of love
To love of the family – the soul mate, the daughter –
The trust and reliance upon the beauty of destiny
The certainty that in a secluded time
We all will meet again
But for this moment upon the twilight
Our memories must accompany us through our journeys
Wasting not the ever clear power of our love
