This is a very moving poem, which is needed in these times. I like the descriptions you've used, because they make something that could be very abstract for some, a reality that is VERY real, and emotionally present. I FELT the meaning of this poem.
Also, I like how it does not lump the entire Male Sex all together, but truthfully points out that some men hurt woman in this terrible manner.
I hate rape, but as a Christian, and follower of Jesus Christ, do not see vengeance and getting even as the answer, but RATHER there must be a path to forgiveness AND restitution. God bless you.

waste not years of prison time with appeals, just to be put to sleep

What is man?? The answer to this difficult question will vary so widely between many groups of men and many groups of women. This conceptual and rearing fog together with a society that has learnt to practise extreme violence "politely and in a civil way" can bring out the monster from the being whose raison d'etre in an evolutionary biological sense, has been the ability to survive, love and multiply without violence!
