I am the one who takes,
The one who feasts on you...
The toy I break,
The thing I confuse and bleed.
I am the creature of habit,
The thing on strings that pull,
The puppet you call in the night
And beg until you're full.
I am your excuse,
The love you long to receive,
The empty echo in your brain,
The thing you deceive.
You cry as if I care.
You blame me in your twisted mind.
It wasn't me.
The decision wasn't mine.
You rolled the dice.
You set the stakes.
You opened yourself to me,
The one who's not your friend,
The one who doesn't love you back.
I am the one who takes.

I agree with Mark on this one, this one does have a very strong TOOL vibe to it. Your short stories does have it as well, but never really reviewed your poems until now.
I like the rolling effect of the lines as they tumble one upon the other.
The last 3 lines could be omitted and only retain the refrain:
"I am only the one who takes"
Welcome!
