MY FIRST GRAND CHILD
When I picked up Jackie she smiled
a crooked toothless grin.
She made great yawn,
And I melted.
Holding close the black fuzzy haired
Facsimile of her mother,
I knew that nothing would ever
Be the same again.
That loving cannot be told in words,
It just flows back and forth,
Between us…never stopping,
Like the tide.
This is my first grandchild,
She's the pride of my life,
And the joy of my world.
A truly exceptional baby.
