It’s Out There It’s on the rocks I saw it there Just outside my grasp Something glittered Waves crashing upward Open space between Focused and bright I saw it on the rocks It’s on the rocks It’s still there Sun shining on the top Wet and silent Can’t take my eyes Off the spotted rock Desire reaching, stretching Sun brightly shining Dayvid Graybill © 2013

"On the rocks" suggests something other than a seascape to me, or perhaps a seascape viewed from a nearby patio, with a glass of something refreshing "on the rocks""

I never saw the sun “shinning” up a rock… Otherwise it's “spot on.” On a rock, of course. ;-)
