I had to look up Stanley Milgram. When I did I realized that I'd heard much about his experiments with authority figures.

Preachers are authority figures and many times their congregations follow them blindly whether they are right or wrong. False preachers have committed countless crimes and gotten away with it because they simply were authority figures. And that's why presidents also get away with crimes that others would suffer greatly for.

A sharp, satiric commentary. That's why I walk away from joining groups led by authority figures––mostly pompous asses filled with their own self importance.

This poem projects so many images of our lives in this time. We wage wars and kill when the Preacher screams, "Thou shalt not kill". "Oh, what a tangled web we weave................."

Lots of interesting thoughts come to mind. What preacher did you wrong? Preachers are like women. We love them until we find out they are using us for personal gain. But we are wise to give others a chance. In the end, we may gain a whole new view and a spiritual friend for life.
