Can I find a rhyme or reason
To explain what I am feeling
To explain that this healing

They put two in the dark,
To find their way alone.
It took two, and one spark,
To find their way back home.

Running through knowledge,
Slates burning black.
Learning nothing, I need it all,
And only heeding the call from the wrong teacher,
I look back and wonder which is weaker.

I've fallen in this age, dropping off the map.
Losing grip in this struggle to belong.
I long for one chance to write my wrongs,
But for now I sadly write "so long."

For I've had enough of this loving,
This caring,
This dream.
I mean when you wake up it loses most of its sheen.
Oh, I believed I was learning much,
And I thieved grace, yearning for your touch.

I need a cure for this common cold,
Love's lock tightens, I loosen your hold,
And it leaves me bitter.

I preach to my brothers and sisters,
Another knot loosened,
And tied not as a knoose but instead a bow,
Holding my highs and lows,
Together complete me.

Find this forsaken man and forever just keep,
Me found, for now I lay forlorn and forgotten,
War torn and this spot is where I left my home.

In the morning of mourning where I left you the key,
Now I found out there will always be everyone there,
But me.
