That silk strap around her neck was enough to keep her tied.
For a while...
But a force stronger than both the hunter and the prey,
Watched in the shadows as the magic formed.
Hate turned to love.
Every anger that was sheltered,
Fell with the heat of a gaze,
Broken...
Thin air turned thick with meaning.
A space.
Violated with inconsistencies and unsure hands,
But warmed the frigid shoulders of a fragile flower.
They are not alone anymore,
The stranger and his silent shadow.
Misery will gravitate,
And he will be waiting for her.
With the finest gesture...
The unspoken would stretch to make it unbearable.
And if he lost the will to control her,
Still, no voice would come.
Even if she had a tongue to move it.
