I come in, through the walls and through the air...

A presence meaning nothing and everything at once.
My words, quiet but like shards of thin light,
That pass through a wall of empty glass.
Creating pretty pictures on the surface,
That begin to fade before you’re certain you’ve seen them.

I make the difficult things easier...

But inside,
The pain was always so heavy that it crushed me.
Making my soul too heavy for the body that carried it.
But if that meant saving you for a moment longer,
I’d keep this a secret forever.

I take the burden unto myself...

And still you say that I am your angel.
Even though my skin is paler,
And the bruises are darker than what you remember.
I can read it all over your face.
Yet you continue to look for a reason why I chose you.
But maybe it was you, who chose me.
And that is enough.

Then I vanish into thin air...

This was the life that was given to me.
Filtered through by pure sentiment.
From a boy, who didn’t know he deserved more.
More than what this world would give him.
And now I am nothing more than a dying petal,
Withering on your crumbling stone...

A predestined tragedy.

Intiquing and as Laura suggested kind of mysterious as well, but over all a beautiful piece of word art.

Mariah,

Such a sad write. Much like losing a limb and missing that which is surely needed.
