So this is all of me that remains,
A pounding flesh of unspeakable pain,
To have my heart broken, seeping in his veins.
Is this all of me that remains?
And with a lie pressed against his lips,
A fairytale, ending with a glass slipper that doesn’t fit,
And still I have not felt anything as beautiful as this.
Except for the kiss with a lie pressed against his lips.
Now with the tears, a hemlock in my throat,
I give my voice away, a final note.
Silence greets me there; a bitter hand and its foe.
