Feeding on the blood of broken promises the innocents scatter to the ground
I, alone, the last witness, this endless massacre while all the faces blur into one.
Hold on, you never said the end of the world would look like this!
All the hands of the nameless are reaching blindly for the warm and breathing.
Please stop, you never told me I would be sacrosanct.

Pity that my ravenous nature comes into play now,
Suddenly all of my thoughts disappear in the ashen wind.
Am I a lover? Am I alive? Am I a re-possessor? Am I possessed?
To haunt the purgatory but be soul-bound?
To have every feeling of past life on an ended world, where death could not touch me with it’s tender blow.

I remember beauty that I couldn’t love any less than the stars as they disappeared from the sky
A simple and tragic spectacle capering the darkness.
Breaking the heart and shattering the soul
Exposing my loveliness to Death’s trembling form.

Tell me this isn’t over.

You look and see that which is private. You have the gift of explaining the unexplainable.

Strikingly poignant and haunting, I can feel the other worldliness of this one...
