As I drive across a bridge
I gaze
Trees are ablaze
Fiery shades: red, orange, yellow
reflect on calm, blue
water below
FALL
on Mississippi River banks
inspires in me
many words of thanks
for seasons.
Much of the United States, in the temperate zone, experiences autumn. I remember autumn vividly from when I lived in those places. I miss it greatly every time I read a poem like this.
I love to read poems from a thankful heart, especially one who describes the beauty of fall in such a simple yet precious way. Have a blessed day dear Valerie, you got a beautiful name. God Bless
