Incandescent wilderness
Where river flows ever peacefully
And the birds utter sounds so beautifully
Meant for others of their kind.
“Come to me, come to me,”
And we’ll sail away so gracefully
To the land which we shall choose.
Upstream the fish swim so hurriedly,
If you noticed, you might even say worriedly,
Males and females alike,
Inborn compulsion drive their every move,
Through durable headwater
Both day and night.
“Come with me, Come with me,”
To the waters of the spawning grounds,
You’ll lay your eggs, which I will proudly seminate,
And we’ll die together in the backwaters at dawn.
Lovely sailboat glides on the great blue sea
And you and I represent the end of humanity.
“Sail away with me, sail away with me,
We’ll follow these birds flying so gracefully
To a lush island lying somewhere in the South China Sea,
We’ll find a river flowing inland so peacefully,
And live happily ever after,
Just you and me."
