Opening our eyes.

Upon the earth

A tempest brews,

To tempt the mind,

We might bemuse,

What of the things we hear

In the news,

That leaves our minds in pain

As though bruised,

Are the evil things the culprits

Use,

So common place we think they’re merely

Obtuse,

Do we ignore also the pain of the

Abused,

Are we as heartless as we are often

Accused,

Turning our backs as though victims pretend,

A ruse,

While in our hearts

We refuse,

To take the course that’s rightly

Infused,

With kindness, trust,

And with insight perused,

To let the good part of human nature,

Loose,

And repair the harm,

Is what we should choose.

I think that human nature is generally good. But people feel powerless when they see the new channeled live from the very worst that takes up more than coverage of the very best. So they may be indifferent to the large things happening in still in their own small spheres of influence help set things straight.
