Oh, look at you, unique fuzzy sturdy stem
and those dark sharp and jagged stiff leaves
and the vibrancy of those, are they petals?
I fear you somewhat you damned little weed
I will NOT HAVE anything less than perfect
my fingers wiggle into my garden gloves
to surgically remove you with my spade
Out, damned weed!
But I’ve grown fond of how you permeate
In this poor soil nurtured with my tear drops
how you refuse to wilt in the moonlight
of yet another of my sleepless long nights
would you mind terribly if I borrowed
a root or two for a small glass of tea?
This got me chuckling. We drink 'Dandelion Tea'. Michele to ward off UTI's and because it's generally great for peeing, battling bloat, gut health, it reduces inflammation, and other reasons I just can't recall at the moment. )-: A unique insight, MM, that compels the reader to think. Hope you're well. Peace.
I ENJOYED THIS SCENERIO OF 'WEEDS' PLAYING-OUT REAL LIFE EXPERIENCES. IT'S HARDLY RARE HOW DESTRUCTUVE THINGS WHICH HAVE NO REAL VALUE...ATTRACT TO THE POINT WHERE ONE FINDS THAT THEY ARE TOTALLY ENSNARED IN THEIR AFFECTION, APPRECIATION AND NEED FOR THEM. GREAT WORK, MORGAN. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...HIS+INSPIRATIONS.
Weeds are deeply rooted in our minds. It's also amazingly beautiful how most weeds manage to flower if one pays attention to the intricacies of their reproduction. For the ones in our minds, perhaps if we don't fight them, we will sleep.
Why I like to leave my yard unkempt in the spring time until it's at least knee deep and all of the wildflowers from weeds have come and gone before the long summer hits and they dry up anyway.
Short in size, long in duration for those of us that like you see the obvious in the unobvious. Enjoyed this word play as it reminded me of similar impressions I've had myself. Thank you for posting.
