           I see her each day

When I walk by.

She is a tall, beautiful

Old lady

She has the curtain

Pulled back

And the look

On her face

Tells me she is

Waiting

For someone

Or something.

One day I walked by

and she was not there.

The window was open

And the curtain was

Blowing softly in the breeze

And I could hear music…

I’ll Fly away, Oh Glory,

I’ll fly away.....

You give the apt impression that she flew away–well done.

This is such a gracious poem, with lingering thoughts of the woman in the window waiting, and waiting, and . . . for what? Not a suitor of course, no, she is waiting for the precise time to play that one particular song.

I loved this poem, Susan.

Say Something Terrorible v3 by RickthePoetWarrior

My mom says ‘If you can’t say anything nice then don’t say anything’. Sorry mom but under the guise of poetic license I penned these beauties.
