While watching the documentary On the state school And it’s closing in the mid 60’s I had such a cold chill And soggy eyes. Memories of when my Parents would tell me They would send me There if I didn’t obey…. I guess I wasn’t that Bad because they Didn’t send me But in my child’s Mind, a home Can be as much Of a prison as A state school. I should be thankful But the feelings still Leak down my cheeks. Susan, you know I'm a big fan of your work, but this poem speaks of a much bigger story, which I sense you have yet to write. If my take is even close, I believe you�d be doing yourself a favor to take the time to write it, even if you never share it. But then, who am I to say.

Thanks for all you�ve offered in all your postings. I just love your work.
