So money does grow on trees

It's taken this long to see

That the most valuable things in life are free!

When I was a child

I would ask my mommy

To buy toys and things I see

And she would always say to me

"Child what you think

Money grow pon tree?"

I couldn't understand why

Money didn't grow on trees

Everything else came from trees

The clothes we wear

The food we eat

Even the place we live and sleep

So why money didn't grow on trees?

But now I am no longer a child

I found out why the illusion, the lie

Was to keep I down to break I pride
